DEMO REEL BREAKDOWN

POLY MODELS

1.) Old Man and Pimm from 'The Collector's Gift' (2012) - I modeled these two characters in Maya, and rendered them in Mental Ray.

2.) Work In Progress - 'The Collectors Gift' (2012) - The rendered shots are showing the Old Man and Pimm applied to animation. I am only responsible for the modeling, and was not involved in any of the look development or shot work. These characters were designed by Ryan Kravetz, an MFA student at the University of Southern California.

3.) Sewing Machine (2011) - I modeled this prop in Maya, and rendered it in Mental Ray.

4.) Orchid (2011) - I modeled this set piece in Maya, and rendered it in Mental Ray.

5.) The Sewing Room (2011) - I modeled and set dressed this scene in Maya, and rendered it in Mental Ray.

6.) Pygmalion and Galatea from 'Pygmalion' (2011) - I modeled these two characters in Maya, and rendered them in Mental Ray. The rendered shots are showing the models applied to animation. I am responsible for everything shown in the shots. I used Maya, ZBrush, Photoshop, Slim and Renderman.

7.) Chinese Classical Garden (2010) – I modeled this set in Maya for the two-week final project at my Pixar Undergraduate Program internship.

8.) Ballet Dancer (2010) – I modeled this character in Maya, and rendered it in Mental Ray. I used an auto-rigger (abAutorig) to rig the character.

INDUSTRY WORK

9.) Google Android Promotional Video (2011) - I modeled the rocket pack on the Android character's back. Completed during internship at Buck.

10.) McDonald's Smoothies Spot (2011) - I modeled and shaded the pineapple leaves. I worked on the modeling and texturing of the pineapple 'bodies' with one other person, and helped prepare assets for rendering.

11.) Target Holiday Spot (2011) - I modeled, shaded, and rigged the red box. I set up the shot with render layers/passes.

ARTWORK

12.) Woman Sculpture (2009) – I sculpted this from life in 3.5 hours. Dimensions: 4”x8”x6”.

13.) Self-Portrait (2007) – I drew this using charcoal on butcher paper. Dimensions: 3’x6’.

ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN

14.) Birdwatching Space (2008) – I designed and modeled this theoretical 20’ x 20’ living space in Rhinoceros, and rendered it in Maxwell. The form is derived from a single surface that folds back on itself and peels away in varying directions to create sitting spaces and circulation paths.

15.) Urban Activity Center (2008) – I designed and modeled this four-story building in Rhinoceros. The first image was rendered with Maxwell. The second image was rendered with V-Ray. Both images were composited in Photoshop. The building contains athletic and community spaces. The form is derived from a system of intersecting, tunneling voids.
